"Déclic"

Frank Servais, founder of GIT

The computer company is 25 years old.
Frank Servais was exactly that age when he first created GIT, Gestion et Informatique pour Tous in Geneva.
Frank Servais holds a degree in Business Administration. He catches the programming bug while checking one of his former employer's IT applications.
Frank Servais doesn't remain an employee for long: he starts his own business shortly after completing his studies, with a fellow-student. They begin by acquiring 10 computers, and by offering computer courses. A little later on, they branch out into producing their own computer programmes. Today, GIT employs 25 people in Geneva, plus 5 in Moldova.

"Digital signature"

Albin Delavy, head of projects at GIT.

From the 1st of January 2005, digital signatures have been placed on the same legal footing as manuscript signatures in Switzerland. Digital signatures were developed by specialised companies, according to the public key/private key principle. This type of signature can be added to any document which has been transmitted electronically, such as an Email, a Word document, an invoice, or any other kind of document.

GIT is preparing to launch a system named Win€Ur Archive, for digitalising accounting documents for SMEs. This application combines a scanning system with software, and a digital signature, which make the handling of a company's financial files compatible with the latest Swiss federal legislation  : "

To the point

"GIT has just celebrated its 20th anniversary, treading a path which can only be considered exemplary. Very discreet about its successes, the company boasts no fewer than 3500 clients in over 80 different countries, in a most competitive market."

Pierre-Henri Badel

"A remarkable solidity. A crucial advantage for applications which are vital to ensure a company's perennial development."

"The internet has revolutionized the financial world by increasing exchanges of information and by favoring the development of networks. The ASP model." A symbol of this revolution, the ASP system combines the advantages of mobility and of powerful communications; its reasonable price makes it financially accessible to accounting firms and independant investment managers. ASP makes applications accessible at any time, and from anywhere in the world. Indeed, all a user needs is to establish an internet connection. ASP provides the possibility of using complex financial applications without the cost, and the operating difficulties usually associated with these solutions. A perfect illustration of this is the management of securities with ASP, presented by Mr. Albin Delavy, a member of GIT SA's management team.
